I can't return to the old dos, I can't run the new. I'm running a t1850 with 4 meg of ram and an 80 meg hd. I had dos 6.22 running with drivspace and when I installed opendos7.01 all went well till I ran setup and restarted the system. now, it boots through config.sys and my speech synthisizer starts up and then the machine halts and there seems to be nothing I can do. if I boot from my old dos boot disk or the new dos boot disk, I cannot access the hd getting a message informing me that I've entered an invallid drive specification. Please help. my laptop is my lifeline and if I can help it, I don't want to wipe the hd. I'm not even sure I could do that since nothing from the floppy seems to access it anyway so I'd have to take it to a professional hd fixer. If you can help, please let me know. I'll give you my phone number and we can chat about this. I'll also be hanging out on the irc channel from time to time. I am using annother pc which I have the good fortune to be able to access. thanks!
