Use UNDELETE. If you want UNERA, make a DOSKEY macro for it, or a batchfile, or use 4DOS and aliases. There are many simple solutions that don't require creating a new program. Since UNDELETE is an external program and symlinks don't exist in DOS, it would require a new EXE to do the same thing as UNDELETE. Good luck. Mike A.
