PCB supports 8 layer boards. If you need more, edit globalconst.h and #define it to a higher value. MUCS defaults to allowing up to 16 layers. If you have a specific concern, I'll look at the sources and see what's up and if it can be fixed. And yes, I *know* the libraries all stink, but building new ones from scratch for the specific components we use won't be difficult. I looked at Eagle but I didn't feel like spending $3000 to get all the features you'd need to do "everything" (complex boards with autorouting). And I wasn't impressed when I found that their RS232 footprints were on 100 mil centers instead of 108 like they're supposed to be.
