If anyone disagrees enough to create a new site with a new name, it's ok with me ;-) But it seemed like we needed something if we're going to start doing EDA work. web page: http://www.delorie.com/hobbyplat/ cvs: http://www.delorie.com/hobbyplat/cvs.html mailing lists: hobbyplat AT delorie DOT com hobbyplat-cvs AT delorie DOT com see http://www.delorie.com/listserv/ The cvs repository is mapped directly into the web page tree, so to update the web pages use remote cvs. The repository will also hold EDA files and such, which means that all the project files will also show up on the web page for easy access. I can map part of the web page to the ftp server if that proves necessary. To sum up: * Everything is controlled via remote cvs. * Everything is available via cvs or web. At the moment, "anonymous" has write access to cvs (just so I don't have to create a ton of accounts) and I back up the CVS repository every hour in case someone gets nasty. I'll shut that off when enough of the "core people" have real accounts (they're available now, and will work now, and if you have one your real id gets into the logs and email). The hobbyplat mailing list is intended to handle the general discussion we're having on agenda-snow-disc. The hobbyplat-cvs mailing list is read-only and notifies the subscribers of any commits to the repository. The former will be archived. I've put in a fake CPU comparison chart for starters. If someone wants to own that and fill in real information, the format (in cvs) should be obvious. The web server reformats it on the fly :-) If you want to put something in but don't know HTML, put in a .txt file and let someone else worry about it. See index.html in CVS for sample automatic header/trailer inserts (banner ads just barely pay for ISP charges, so please preserve this convention). If you're in doubt as whether to put something in cvs or not, put it in. I can always delete it later.
