Given that most users install gEDA because they want = to design a PCB, the netlist functionality that glues gschem and PCB togeth= er remains opaque to, and possibly even unnoticed by, most initiates.

There=E2=80=99s gschem and gnetlist. From wh= ere I sit, gschem is fairly complete as an editor for graphics with attache= d metadata. Further extension beyond a few conveniences would appear to req= uire extensions of the file format. There=E2=80=99s not a lot of opportunit= y to make gschem more powerful, but better graphics could be nice.

The center of both the power and frustration of geda-gaf t= o me is gnetlist. If the views into the design it presents contain the data= you need, and you=E2=80=99ve figured out enough Scheme (not much: I=E2=80= =99m just a baby Scheme programmer), you can do great things with just a fe= w lines of scripting.

i.e. it'd be great if we could add more examples to
=C2=A0

I al= ways intended that to be a first installment. Your encouragement may get me= to write another.

=C2=A0
So, please do go into further detail, it= would be of interest to me and to others I am sure.
