It is not a patch. While I am attempting to keep backward compatibility to gnet-spice and gnet-spice-sdb in cases where it is harmless, I am changing behaviors that have caused me trouble in the past. So, I appreciate suggestions and will try to judge them on their merits for future application: backward compatibility is not a priority here.
