I sometimes collaborate on gEDA projects with Windows users. Generally, they are not software developers. This is troublesome, as they often cannot generate data products using my heavily scripted procedures. But at least they can view and edit the schematics, so I am very grateful to the heroes who port gEDA to Windows. It is important that the resulting application be installable in a way that they can understand.
