I'm glad to hear that! I'm still confused, though. I thought the default application settings control which application to run to open a file and wouldn't have expected this to affect the clipboard. Just to be clear, did you create these settings in the first place? What value did you set the second one to that solved the problem? This would be good to know in case someone else encounters this problem, or even as a default setting for gEDA installation. Roland
