Greetings,

I made a copy of a 40-pin header symbol from the gEDA-distributed symbol 
library (Connectors (generic)/header40-2.sym) for editing and while 
editing it, discovered a couple of attributes I am not familiar with:

pins=40

class=IO

Are these new attributes that I should keep, or are they deprecated old 
attributes I can safely remove without breaking a gEDA tool?

They are not listed anywhere in the current Master Attribute document on 
the wiki, not even the "Obsolete Attributes" list:
