Think it need to be Nitrile rubber if it common in contact with oil.

There is a test probe wire, but what Gene's got is probably right.  I bought some once, it had more strands of wire to be more flexible and the insulation was rubber, not plastic.  This was 1960s, came from Lafayette Electronics.  Just single conductor though.
