Dean and Kai-Martin Knaak as well as the related issues (running gnetlist before gschem won't be an issue any longer). Long story short: I had mixed calls to the built programs into the examples/gTAG Makefile, which is a bad idea and repeatedly caused trouble. Moving the regeneration of the example files to a separate script solved the issue.
