I did come across that post, installed guile 1.8 with Homebrew and still no joy. brew tap sadhen/sadhen && brew install guile AT 1 DOT 8 Not sure how to force it to use only guile 1.8 though. The same happens in cygwin64 and minGW64. I think the check is simply
wrong.
