Yeah, I'm on their mailing list too.  And I have it installed so I
brought it up and gave rubber-banding a quick test, it works.  I drew
a line between 2 objects, moved 1 object and the line stayed attached.
Good enough for now.  It's Gnomeish but oh well.

I have more experience with Xfig but I'd never heard of it doing
rubber-banding.  So I installed the doc package and searched the PDF.
No mention of "rubber" or "band", only 1 mention of "attach" in a
different context.  Maybe they call it something else.

I guess I'll try using Dia.  Gschem seems simpler and cleaner, and I
like that the file format is readable.  Actually even Inkscape works,
so I could draw flowcharts with pretty gradients.  :)   I had brought
up Gschem to sketch out a schematic idea for one project and thought
about doing a flowchart in it for another.
