It works (via menu and F11 key) in Debian 9 with Xfce and Ubuntu 14 with Unity.

Like all on/off toggle with single key (maybe '~')? I can assign hotkey by
hovering mouse pointer on menu item and press a key (GTK feature, sometimes
disabled by default).
