One thing I can say: It's already quite an education. Using a transformer actually helps avoid saturation over an inductor. You should be able to model it as ideal unless you want to push the limits. How fast are your measurements needing to be? Really 300kHz driving the piezo? I was thinking much less when you said "measurements".
