But for years, others have complained they couldn’t contribute because of Scheme. Where are they? Sadly, but nobody of the devs who worked on geda-gaf > > before want to continue there. > > How many people are actually sending you code for geda-gaf? Why do you always troll me? OK, just FYI, Sergey Alyoshin sent me code from Igor2's back annotation branch and I reworked it a bit to make things look cleaner, though stopped due to having no support for this in mainline pcb and due to current situation in the geda-gaf repository. I've never published it anywhere but can do it if you're suspecting me that I lye (hope this is not so). Mike Waters, the author of gSpiceUI sent me his spice backend spice-msw which is refactored version of spice-sdb and I used parts of it in my refactored gnetlist. Peter Brett has done lots of hard lowlevel work which greately improved scripting perfomance, the thing users were complained about in the past. Some people have written me privately and stated they would like to contribute something in Scheme, some reported bugs here, some on launchpad. Not many, yeah, though very valuable. OTOH, we had about the same level of contributing for years. The launchpad situation is most irritating. Most of reports and patches adress gschem and gnetlist. However, nobody wants to work on gschem in mainline, and there is no point to work on "obsolete gnetlist" these days so we lose another chunk of contributions. Does this description suit you?
