Sure. Orthogonal functions. Toolkit. Unixy. We have those, and want more of separation of core functions from special apps, features. Translation of symbols, footprints, schematics, netlists is a big thing that will attract more new people. There are plenty of oddballs created in the world all the time. So we'll have company! No worry about geda-gaf becoming mainstream...it can exist in a niche just fine without that. Like Evan said, "I encourage everyone else to find a subset of the crowd and work on some thing." Something good can shake out eventually. No need for doom and gloom.
