Please do post how = to build geda-gaf on a Mac!

I haven=92t been = able to install geda-gaf 1.9.2 or the git head on a mac. I do have = 1.8.2 working =97 built from source, but would like to use gaf which I = just learned came later (last I checked, the homebrew version is = 1.8.2.)

The git version fails to compile on my = mac, as explained in a recent post on geda-help:

I can get version 1.9.2 to = compile out of the box, but there are several serious issues when = running. A few are:

* when you close gcschem =93F C=94, = an OS X popup appears saying that gschem quit unexpectedly. The = terminal window shows a suite of error messages, including a segfault = message (full output below).

* The "inverted polarity" = notation (is that the right name for it?) e.g. "\_Q\_=94 produces = a very thick over-bar in gschem, and the PDF output produced by gaf = shows the entire character as a solid black rectangle (i.e. don=92t see = a letter, don=92t see an over-bar, just a large black = rectangle).

* toolbar icons don=92t appear until you = mouse-over them, and drop-down menu text (=93File=94 =93Edit=94 =93View=94= etc.) is invisible until you click on them.

* Blank line in = text field produces huge vertical whitespace gap. I add a text = field to a schematic, enter two lines of text separated by a blank line, = then when rendered, the first and second lines of text are separated by = the equivalent of about 20 lines of blank = space.

I don=92t know if these issues are = gschem related, or rather an issue with some dependency. Any = advice is much appreciated.

Also, I=92ve been = reading through the geda-user archives (slowly, on the delorie.com page that lists posts on = separate pages by day =97 is there a more efficient way to view the = archive?) and came across this post. Not sure if it will attach to = the thread correctly...
