The way gEDA has traditionally used pinseq to both identify = pins for slotting and sequence pins for SPICE netlisting is a serious = complication. That=92s why I made it possible for gnet-spice-noqsi to = use pinseq (usually the default, for backward compatibility), pinnumber = (for physical packages), or pinlabel (for hierarchy).
