To me, pin swaps outside of one package are beyond the scope gschem needs work on right now. gschem needs upgrades first. It's also beyond any of the detailed ideas I had for planning. To my way of thinking, it you do "annotation of *any* type" back to the schematic, you need to keep it small, say 6 or 8 pins, then rehook it up with some loose guideline like ratlines, or it gets to be too much. I can't code on it anytime soon. It's "out of scope".
