Hi Evan,

As of last fortnight there is a function called SmartDisperse() 
implemented in pcb's git master branch (formerly a plug-in written by 
Ben Jackson).

Could you please check this functionality and see if it is any better 
than Disperse() or the autoplace functionality ?

There is some documentation available too.
