As far as I can see, current preferred line width is zero, so it defaults to one pixel, which is almost unreadable on high resolution displays. (It took a really long time until people started to recognize that depending on the size of a pixel on a specific device (screen) isn't exactly a wise idea) Regarding text size I'd prefer one which approximately fits into the european resistor symbol. Which is smaller than the current size. As you said, all elements are scaleable. Texts are currently always anchored bottom left, which isn't a good choice when it should be centered. So far my $0.02. :-) Whatever you do, please take care that stuff is unified across the whole library. For example it bugs me that there are several equivalent generic connector symbols, so I always have to try and guess to find the one matching the connectors already in use in the schematics.
