For example, could three pin symbols for transistors work with devices that have four pads? It would be nice to support all the relationships: - one to one - one to many (3 pin symbol transistor with a 4 pad footprint) - many to one (pass thru pins) - many to many Pass thru pins could make the symbols for parts where the signal passes straight through easier to work with.
