I agree with the concern but this alternative sounds like an unusual mechanism that user's probably wouldn't know about. I've sometimes been annoyed by first-time tips that vanish -- I remember there was something there I want, but not how to recover it. With free software I'd take a guess that config file might let me recover it somehow. Perhaps a well-marked section at the bottom of the config file is a good compromise? All hypothetical at this point anyway of course... Britton
