Heck, I bet we still have Solaris users (the hardware lasts forever ;-). The more Linux-y dependencies there are, the more barriers you’re erecting. And you know, we're trying to support them. You must have seen the last discussion about compiling geda-gaf for FreeBSD. Please, just file bug reports on Launchpad. Today, I cannot digest or remember all things emerging in the mailing list.
