A proper general mechanism would allow one to associate*properties* with net segments, not just trace widths. Furthermore, trace width might come into SPICE in a calculation of derived electrical properties. Your imagination skips too quickly into a short cut to a pcb application. Mr. Doty: I've noticed you do this kind of post before many times. You have sifted through the escalating responses to your nearly incessant commenting about gEDA origins and direction, (the one true path), and spied one inconsistency and quoted it to make someone look less than, or shallower, or not-as-insightful as your own personal image. Those posts are really boring to read, but could affect the emotional state of many many potential developers in a down tone way, so I'd appreciate you stifling the urge to spout off in that way. The July 14 images from Pluto were neato, huh? John Griessen
