Yes, for me GTK3 is fine too, at least for my Gentoo-Linux. But it is a fact that great popularity is impossible with GTK currently. I have to correct me in one point: For Qucs there seems to be some activity again in the last months. For people really liking Qt that may be an option, maybe add PCB layout?
