Oh come on.  Almost no one knows it as John has pointed out.  That makes it
obscure by definition.  Being used in emacs isn't much of an argument either,
I wrote thousand lines of emacs list and hated it continually before finally
giving up and switching to vi like everyone else.  If you're starting from
now you use python, no question.

Its not a matter of liking it or not.  Its not a question of its design.
Its just that its almost dead as far as user base and libraries.  Personally I
think everything should be in Smalltalk or Self, does that make them viable?
