Creating a repository may be redundant and not worth the effort. I use the following for parts datasheets, especially old parts I may still need data for. Their parts search engines are pretty good. http://www.datasheetarchive.com/ http://www.datasheet4u.net/ http://www.xs4all.nl/~ganswijk/chipdir/ There may be others out there. That said, I often regret getting rid of my collection of databooks in the past, assuming I could always get the data on the manufacturer's websites and doing so would clear shelf space.
