According to https://www.gnu.org/software/guile/ this is v2.0.11 Download was fine. However, the build fails at the configure stage with this message: ======================== Unpacking guile... patching file lib/msvc-inval.c Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [n] y Configuring guile... configure: WARNING: using cross tools not prefixed with host triplet configure: WARNING: Guessing that stack grows down -- see scmconfig.h configure: error: building Guile 2.0.11 but `/usr/bin/guile' has version 2.0.9" ================= guile: Build failed. ================= WTF? Why should the configure for guile look at the version of the binary already installed in /usr/bin of the host system? This is a cross compile. So it is supposed to be installed on a totally unrelated system. I will try to uninstalll the guile-2.0 packages from the debian repo. Will report my mileage. ---<)kaimartin(>--- -- Kai-Martin Knaak tel: +49-511-762-2895 Universität Hannover, Inst. für Quantenoptik fax: +49-511-762-2211 Welfengarten 1, 30167 Hannover http://www.iqo.uni-hannover.de GPG key: http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?search=Knaak+kmk&op=get
