I just checked settings to ensure that I don't include all the previous text but I don't see what setting prevents attaching previous text. Agreed. That is why I also leaved the entire thread (slightly shorten= ed)
as I see it in my mail client (as an example of such a mess) and added a link to a more comprehensive discussion on the top-posting topic.
