Fine -- indeed a nicer icon set is very important for some people...
And similar looking icons for the various gEDA tools including PCB,
gerbv and others may symbolize that the tools belong together and may
indeed improve usability.

Long time ago I suggested using and adapting the inkscape icons -- they
look fine, and gives us the basic idea about appearance.

Of course GTK3 would be another visual improvement and would show that
people are still working on the project. Indeed I can remember postings
from people who had worked on GTK3 transition, one was about gerbv
recently, one about gschem contributed by a lady long btime ago...
