Still, freecad is the best open source 3D CAD around by a large margin. The project is pretty active. Now, that freecad got indeed banned from Debian and other linux distros, I'd expect them to find some kind of solution to the licensing drama. Either, they convince OPEN CASCADE S.A.S. to double license their lib to a GPL compatible license, after all these years. Or they the freecad devs bite the bullet and replace opencascade by something GPL compatible.
