True, and there is some weird thing with documentmedia.
You can work around it by doing something like (assuming you are using
pcb -x ps --multi-file ...):

  for i in *.ps
  do
      mv $i tt
      sed -e 's/^%%DocumentMedia:.*/%%DocumentMedia: A4 595.27559 841.88976 0 "" ""/' < tt > $i
      if ! grep -q ^showpage $i
      then
          echo showpage >> $i
      fi
  done
  rm -f tt
