I've been messing with the tools for some time on my net book. That little Atom processor has served me well but I think I want to build her a new home. I've talked to one of the server support folks at work and he recommended an 8 core AMD FX processor. I'm heading in that direction. I'm also thinking about trying VMware on this new machine. I'm also leaving my options open in regard to multiple heads (displays) on the machine. My question for this list has to do with multi core processors. Will the gEDA suite exploit multiple core processors or am I wasting my $$$ on this set-up? Any input on my specific question, or my machine ideas would be welcome.
