I have no particular reason to stick with gtk other than it's what I've always used. That and I don't even have lesstif built/installed anymore since it appears nothing much needs it. The background here is that another app required some updated gtk stuff last year and the fallout of that meant new versions of gschem/pcb, the previous version I had was from 2008 so things have changed a bit since then :)
