By default, symbols are linked into the schematics. So, if you change 
the symbol, like adding an attribute to it, all 743 instances will change.

The only things to remember are to make a local copy of the symbol and 
to put such attributes into the symbol instead of it's instance in the 
schematics. The symbol can be accessed by diving into the hierarchy in 
the GUI.
