Still, defacto standard pinouts are common, and the spice-prototype attributes can reflect that. I'm also considering the possibility of automating the fetch of a model from a URL. I like that concept but we have to figure out the long term problem of what happens when vendors change spice model URL. That is something git or some other version control mechanism can solve. The issue I have here is that the symbols I need for the schematic used in the PCB workflow is different from the one I often need for the simulation work flow.
