OK. I'll try to repeat my message again. 1) The Liberation(tm) Fonts is a font family which aims at metric compatibility with Arial, Times New Roman, and Courier New. (https://fedorahosted.org/liberation-fonts/) 2) gschem uses Arial for displaying. 3) X window system can use Liberation to substitute for Arial if you have no MS fonts installed. 4) You can get those original M$ fonts for free. 5) If gschem has any problems with some Liberation font and has no problems with the original MS fonts then the Liberation fonts are guilty because they claim metric compatibility. 6) To prove this you need first install the original fonts and check that everything is OK, and then uninstall the original fonts and install Liberation and check the result. 7) Bottom line: a) If you have some problems only with some Liberation font then you should blame the font. b) If you have the same problems with MS Arial and some Liberation font you should blame gschem rendering and could file the bug report. And if some application requires some Liberation font and it is broken, you could use MS fonts instead. There should be no conflict with any other package. -- http://vzhbanov.byethost33.com
