IMHO, it would be very nice to have a pointer to this site on the gEDA download page. Why should it be placed beside the table with links to distribution packages? Why not inside? As far as I can see, many users searching for a gEDA build for Windows are thinking that it doesn't exist at all. It is very difficult to find a version for Windows. Even the wikipedia has such a fuzzy paragraph: Microsoft Windows support is currently not a primary project goal. Nonetheless, some programs in the gEDA Suite have built-in hooks for Windows support, and those programs will build and run under Windows. However, binary executables for most of the gEDA Suite are not distributed by the gEDA Project. I cannot agree with all those sentences. "Not a primary" suggests an idea that those users aren't important to us. "Will build" frightens a lot of users away. Why "not distributed" for Windows? Whose packages are distributed "by the gEDA project"? Why should wikipedia emphasize this at all? I don't use Windows since about ten years but I understand that many users use it. We should not ignore them. They could be very useful for the gEDA project, for its development. I believe they are the latent Linux and gEDA users :) Regards, V. -- VZh http://vzhbanov.byethost33.com
