From: Ram Bhamidipaty To: geda-user AT delorie DOT com Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Reply-To: geda-user AT delorie DOT com I am trying to create a footprint for a power jack. In my case a CUI Inc PJ-002B, which has three rectangular through holes -- 1mm x 3mm and 1mm x 3.5mm. From reading about the element format/syntax I think I need a "pin" line in the footprint, but it appears that it only handles circular holes. How do I create a rectangle? Or am I looking at this the wrong way? Also do element files always use mils as units? Do I just need to convert to mils from metric? Thanks for any help. -Ram
