Unfortunately, the move cut off the connection to gmane. This is a project, that translates mailinglists to usenet format and back. This means, the mailinglist can be read with a newsreader rather than with a regular email reader. One benefit is, that gmane-groups can be read anywhere, not just at places where I have access to my email box. Newsreaders tend to be better geared toward discussions with many participants. For details, see http://gmane.org and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gmane In addition, gmane serves as an archive. There is a useful archive search engine at the gmane site. In January, I noticed the gmane project of the change. Nothing happended. Maybe, I used the wrong web form. So I tried again a few weeks ago. Today, I checked gmane.comp.cad.geda-user aagain and was pleasantly to see some new posts by Oliver Schiagl. A check at gmane.org revealed, that the domain of the gmane-group has indeed been changed to delorie.com. However, not all messages seem to have made it to gmane. Wild guess: The gmane project needs to be added to the list of recipients of the mailing list. I asked the gmane admins to resubscribe to the list. DJ, can you accept subscription of geda-user AT gmane DOT org when it hits the queue? ---<)kaimartin(>--- BTW, this text is a test, whether postings from gmane do successfully get forwarded to the list. -- Kai-Martin Knaak, Email: kmk AT familieknaak DOT de http://pool.sks-keyservers.net:11371/pks/lookup?search=0x6C0B9F53
