The top priority is plugins to facilitate interaction between gnucap and other Free EDA tools, and interaction between Free EDA tools in general, including gEDA. I'm hoping for someone to write a plugin for gnucap, which also works with gnucap's translation program, to read and write gschem and PCB files. This will enable gnucap and gEDA to interact more smoothly and completely that the gnetlist export- only facility, and also a path to a portable interchange format based on the structural subset of Verilog. Another benefit of this particular plugin is that it will enable interaction between gEDA and other Free EDA programs in general, and eventually a generalized import and export facility. Someone is already working on a Qucs plugin, and I am also looking for someone to do a Kicad plugin. When all of these are done, there will be a way that all of these tools can interact with each other.
