Hi Eike, I don't know much about the technical details of GTK2 and GTK3, but as an Ubuntu 11.10 user, I really *hate* how the mixture of GTK2 and GTK3 applications has an inconsistent look and feel. Only with the stock Ubuntu theme does GTK2 and GTK3 look similar, but even then the menus look very different (different font, I think). All I can say is that I want my apps to look consistent. And if I'm going to be stuck with the evil beast that is GNOME 3, I guess I'll have plenty of GTK3 going on. Regards, Colin
