Sounds like a good-enough-solution. Perhaps, you could put pointers to treeviews in an own GList. Sou you just have to walk trough one list. There are some tooltip functions in GTKWidget. I don't know, who is saying such things and there is no reason for speaking against GTK+. Free Software needs contributors. If you find something annoying you, then fix it. GTK+, Qt and WxWidgets need contributors, besides KDE, Gnome and gEDA. Saying, some of them are dead, is like saying you don't want to contribute. Best regards Eike
