Hi,

I pasted you symbol text into a empty file, and saved it as name.sym

open it with gschem, which as you said does not show the attributes, but 
selecting all and EE oe Edit from Context Menu, open Attribute editor, I 
toggled Visible on and the attributes are now shown.
