You can use either or both simultaneously :-)

gEDA PCB (or just 'pcb') is a PCB layout program and is supported
by both geda-gaf and lepton-eda since they are growing from the
same stem.  Lepton is a fork of geda-gaf back from late 2016.  The
projects' leaders just have different views on how to proceed.
I'm the current maintainer of Lepton, ask me anything about it,
even privately, if you wish (before, I maintained geda-gaf and
released its version 1.9.2).  'lepton-cli' is just Lepton's
command line utility, the same as 'gaf' in 'geda-gaf'.  Both
projects support the same old gEDA schematic/symbol file format.
There are several differencies between the projects since they are
evolving separately now.  Again, please ask about any
inconsistences if you feel like.
