For ACIS on Chandra, in Viewlogic, I had slotted dual opamps = with power pins on the opamp symbol. This allowed me to be clear about = the rails a particular opamp used for power, important in a complicated = system with multiple power rails. But Viewlogic would warn me if I did = it wrong and shorted one rail to another. More recently, I=92ve been using gschem with Kai-Martin-style separate = power symbols for this case. And I did, once, make the mistake of = choosing a slot from a component that used the wrong rails for the = purpose. The result was subtle misbehavior of the fabricated circuit. My = fault, but maybe the tool could help better.
