Looking further, I saw many bug reports for many programs using the gtk+ quartz backend, and everybody seemed to fight them alone. I saw people changed the list of used libraries and appended code especially for MacOS. BTW, I've found a page which would be of some interest for the MacOS geda-gaf testers [1].
