I think it would be *way* easier for someone starting out and w/ cad
ecperience to edit the sym in gschem then in a text editor, the file is
kinda obtuse if ur new to stuff like that, andd is whitespace sensitive.
To edit in gschem, right click on the symbol and hit "down symbol" then
save-as your new part and edit it, then save. You will need to close and
reopen gschem for it to pdate the list of components in your library. If
anyone knows a way to make it refresh your library without opening and
closing it, id love to know.
I also suggest you copy paste the pins and then change thier attributes
(mouse over and hit ee) to keep formatting constant. Also remember the
symbol has hidden attributes, you can make that text visible by hittin show
hidden text in the "edit" menu.
